We believe that students are not the church of tomorrow, but the church of today. Students are provided opportunities to connect, discover more about God, and respond to the needs of their community.
Confirmation
Confirmation is a large part of our youth educational experience and is set up as a two-year training. The various topics of study range from deep-dive studies of the Bible to everyday life as a Lutheran. Traditionally, students are confirmed during their middle school years but confirmation is open to people of all ages. Please contact the church office if you or your child wants to know more about Confirmation.
Youth Group
Our youth group meets twice a month for meals, fellowship, service projects, and more. Recently, our students have attended Christian concerts, gone camping, and attended movie nights. Our students also have unique opportunities to learn from members of our congregation. TLC members have taken our group to the AU Electron Microscope Lab, the Davis Arboretum, and brought specimens from the AU Vet School.
Youth Gathering
Held every three years since 1980, the LCMS Youth Gathering provides nearly 20,000 youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Christian faith, and their Lutheran identity. The next Gathering will take place July 3-7, 2028 in San Antonio, Texas. Our youth will travel will chaperones to enjoy this summertime experience together!
